Spiritual Activities

Sunday School
In Luke 18:16 Jesus says “let the little children come to me and do not hinder them for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these” and in Proverb 22:6 King Solomon says “Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it” In order to practice these teachings as well as to teach the children our true faith we are conducting Sunday School classes in the church and in all the four chapels. More than five hundred students are studying in all the five Sunday schools. About seventy-five teachers are extending their dedicated service to enucleate noble character of the little children.

Marthamariam Vanitha Samagam
A women’s league is organized in the name of St. Mary, the mother of our Lord. They conduct meetings every Sunday after the Holy Mass. After usual prayer they discuss problem affecting persons or families and dedicate their problems in prayer to find out Divine solutions. They visit the sick and extend financial help to deserving persons.

Youth Association
It is an organization of the youth. They Conduct monthly meetings. They help the youth wing to participate actively in the church service and charitable activities of the parish. They conduct pilgrimage to famous pilgrim centres every year.

Mar Athanatius Charitable Trust
It is a charitable organization started two years ago. We have been extending solid help to the helpless and down-trodden in the society. The trust extends financial help for the marriage of poor girls, for education of poor students, for self-employment, etc. In addition the trust conducts counseling for various age group and pre-marriage courses to enable the members to lead a happy Christian life.

Prayer Fellowship
The chief objects of this movement are Christian fellowship, Bible study and retreat. Debates on spiritual and social subjects are also conducted. The meetings of the prayer fellowship are held after evening prayer on all sundays on area basis.

Church Choir
The active participation of a properly trained choir is necessary to conduct lively services. Church choir not only participates in the church services but also sings at different occasions like bible conventions, public meetings etc.
